Are incredibly light weight at 7 kg compared to a cast iron oven that weighs 12 kg. Sand cast from food grade 601 aluminium, the aluminium retains heat and leads to a very durable product.
If dropped the cast aluminium camp oven will remain in one piece. Unlike cast iron ovens which may crack.
The entire cast aluminium camp oven can be placed in the camp fire, with coals on top of the concave lid.
Camp Ovens are well suited for long, slow cooking, such as making roasts and stews. Virtually any recipe that can be cooked in a conventional oven can be cooked in a camp oven.
